Vol. 2 No. 3 (2010): Mouro3

Revista Mouro 3

This third issue of Revista Mouro pays tribute to the historian Wilson do Nascimento Barbosa. Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1941, he is first and foremost a poet and fighter. He wrote numerous poems (mostly still unpublished).
His initial training took place in the History course at the former University of Brazil. He also graduated in Economics and Statistics at Lund University (Sweden), where he obtained his Ph.D. in Economic History. He worked in the Ministry of Transport of the Government of the Liberation Front of Mozambique (FRELIMO). He is currently Full Professor of Economic History at USP. He specialized in International Economics and Economic History and trained a myriad of undergraduate and graduate students at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo (FFLCH-USP).
In this edition we publish one of his texts about the forms of struggle and a poem of his own.
We also bring international articles written especially for Moor by Ecuadorian scholar Francisco Hidalgo and UNAM (Mexico) professor Carlos Aguirre Rojas. Finally, illustrations, reviews and other articles critically thematizing the thirty years of the Workers' Party, the centenary of the Mexican Revolution and other subjects in the history of Marxism close this new contribution from a new Marxist magazine.
Mouro does not accept articles for publication. The magazine is financed exclusively by sales and by the editors (whose work is voluntary). As we do not have professionals to analyze submitted articles and issue opinions, the editorial committee establishes dossiers and invites authors according to their interest. Mouro does not keep an inventory (see Vol. II of O Capital) of articles. Acts just in time.
