Review: The Cuban Revolution and the National Question
Abstract
The Cuban Revolution and the National Question was published by the Núcleo de Estudos d´O Capital. According to the author himself (José Máo Jr) declares, on page 167, the Núcleo is a Marxist organization, dedicated to the study and dissemination of Marxism.
If the Núcleo de Estudos to which Máo belongs has this task, his specifically, and that of everyone who in some way participated in this book, is to focus on the study and dissemination of the Cuban Revolution.
Let no one doubt that Máo studied the Cuban Revolution. Such firmness of purpose led him to go back to 1868, the year in which the first great Cuban war of independence began; to study all the most important episodes, especially the confrontation between broadly revolutionary and reactionary forces up to 1959 and beyond, analyzing each one of them carefully and carefully.
