The Socialist Concept of University Reform
Abstract
Much is said about “University Reform”. A buzz with revolutionary tones reaches the ears, brought by the malaise and restlessness among the students. In the Tren Blindado magazine and in public lectures, we will try to discuss the social foundations of this movement, its historical antecedents, its fundamental principles and everything that is necessary for its better understanding by the student mass.
The first thing we need to define is the true concept of university reform. There is a lot of liberal and empty chatter on the subject, due to the fact that, in several places, individuals who participated in this movement were from the liberal bourgeoisie. But if reform is undertaken seriously and in a revolutionary spirit, it can only be carried out in a socialist spirit, the only revolutionary spirit at the moment.
