Um Tanto de Macunaíma
Abstract
Between Jorge Amado's fishing net and Macunaíma's hammock, there is not as much difference as some may think. Even though I am, a mere reader of both, even so, I can say in this paraphrase above. Perhaps he will say that they (the hammocks) make no difference, because they are sometimes for work, sometimes for rest, and we all have these rights.
