Abstract

Visual Artist, researched Color Woodcuts in the Doctorate program in Visual Arts / Poetics, Unicamp. This research resulted in the exhibition “O Cromo Gravado” held at Museu Casa de Vidro, Campinas, 2018. The series of engravings produced during this research investigate the processes of color construction and its manipulation by cutting the woodcut, by the gestural reticules engraved on the matrices , and by experimenting with the printing process of embossing.

Author Biography

Marcio Elias

Since 2009, he has participated in the Ateliê Itinerante Xilomóvel Project, in artistic, educational, public training and woodcut dissemination activities. In 2016, Xilomóvel organized the first Volante Festival, contemplated in the Rumos Itaú Cultural public notice, bringing together itinerant ateliers, collectives of artists and actions for the public in the same space, the Estação Cultura de Campinas.
