OBSESSIVE DISTURBANCE OF CAPITAL IN THE EXUBERANT VOLTA GRANDE DO XINGU: AMAZON, RIVERSIDE AND SURROUNDINGS.
Abstract
The Amazon is in the spotlight once again. It has always been, let us not forget, for those who live there and have their way of life guaranteed by an immensity of water, riverbanks, creeks, trees, animals, people and urban centers. Anyone who has been there is impressed by the always enormous dimensions, by the exuberance of smells, colors and flavors. By symbolic interaction, through the reports, music, stories and legends told, those who were not there have something present in themselves from the dimensions we are talking about. It couldn't be different considering that almost half of this Brazilian territory (often called the Brazilian nation even if we can't say exactly what that is) is covered in forests.
