Abstract

The aim of this article is to document and critically analyse a grassroots meeting organized by militants of the Workers’ Party (Partido dos Trabalhadores – PT) in the city of São Paulo in 2015. It is believed that the event reflects the strength of PT in Brazilian political life while also providing insight into the ideas and feelings circulating among party militants during a historically intense period of political tension in Brazil and an offensive against the party.
